Single Credit/ Virtual High School / SCOREDescription:
This program is designed to assist students who need additional credits to graduate from High School. It is specifically for those students who need one or two courses per semester to maintain their Junior or Senior status. Each section is limited to approximately 12 students that allows for individualized access to computers and Internet programs. Students must be in grades 10 though 12 and currently enrolled in their Home School District.
Single Credit Courses- Our math and English single credit courses are
taught in a traditional, lecture educational style. Instruction is teacher
lead. Daily assignments are given. All assignments are expected to be
finished during class time, as homework is not generally given.
SCORE Courses- Our pioneering SCORE program is designed as an on-line program that is meant to be boundry-less. We have achieved this by distributing NetBook computers to high schools across McLean County. Through the use of video conferencing software and various on-line applications software, we will be able to instruct, share ideas, and documents with our students remotely. As in most remote learning programs, there needs to be an increased level of self motivation and responsibility on the student's part. We offer the same courses as our virtual catalog. Please visit the SCORE Wiki page for more information regarding SCORE.
