Single Credit / Credit Recovery Program

The Single Credit Program is a special project overseen by the Regional Office of Education 17 through the Regional Alternative School. The program is designed to assist students who need additional credits to graduate from high school, who have truancy issues, or are at-risk of dropping out of high school. It is generally for students who need one or two courses per semester to maintain their status to graduate with their classmates.

Online Curriculum

Students will be enrolled in an online curriculum with teacher facilitation available in-person and virtually. Students will need access to their own or home school-issued device and internet.

Courses Offered

Courses are offered through Edmentum Courseware. Edmentum is self-paced and allows students 24/7 access to their course(s). Course content is aligned to state standards. The virtual catalog offers a larger scope of academic course work including English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Electives, and other courses required by school districts and the State of Illinois. A student is able to turn in current pay stubs from a job for the cooperative education credit.
