RAS- Livingston County will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16. Conferences will be held from 2:30-6:30 PM at the Break Room in Pontiac. Call Mr. Earley at (815) 844-2512 to schedule a conference. Thank you!


Today, select seniors had the chance to learn about trade school programs and certifications. Thank you to Jason Rabbass for visiting RAS- LC.


We are putting the 90 degree temps to good use! Ms. Z's Earth & Space science class is cooking up s'mores, cookies, and quesadillas in solar ovens made from pizza boxes.



September is Suicide Prevention Month. RAS LC staff are spreading awareness by sharing the message of Stay Another Day. SAD is a local clothing brand that supports and brings awareness to suicide prevention and positive mental health. Thank you ROE 17 for partnering with us and SAD!



Students in Ms. Z's earth and space science class took advantage of the nice weather to make scaled models of the solar system.




We are excited to welcome students back for the first day of school!





This past Friday, we celebrated our former Program Administrator, Kim Mehrkens', retirement. Kim worked for the Regional Alternative School for almost 30 years. She will keep busy in her retirement by working part-time at St. Mary's Catholic School in Pontiac. And you may even see her as a substitute teacher at RAS! Thank you, Kim!


Last week, students in Ms. Z's ecology class created soda can holders out of recycled materials without plastic.

Due to forecasted extreme sub-zero windchills, The Regional Alternative School- Livingston County will have an E-Learning Day on Tuesday, January 21. There will be no in-person attendance.
Students should follow the E-Learning guidelines that were reviewed last week.


We're thinking warm thoughts at RAS! Mrs. Mehrkens is making hot chocolate for all of our students!



Yesterday, Mrs. Mehrkens took Level 3 students out for breakfast at Baby Bulls!


Congratulations to the RAS Livingston County staff on the completion of the inaugural NAEA Exemplary Practices cohort. Hard work, reflection, and correction were the norm for all RAS Livingston County staff as they engaged in meaningful work to further advance their school and program.

The Regional Alternative School-Livingston County will be closed today, Tuesday, November 5 for election day. Regular classes will resume tomorrow on Wednesday, November 6.

School picture day is coming up on Tuesday, September 17. All students will have their picture taken and receive new school IDs. Parents and guardians will receive picture order forms via email.


Last week, students in Mr. Earley's class worked on vision boards to help them plan their school year!
